If your clients will pay you through PayPal, it has a free invoicing interface that works nicely. I've used that successfully (thanks, Sandi).

Welcome to the Web Writers Network

This is a network for web writers to congregate for professional and recreational purposes. Freelance web writing is a solitary endeavor, and this community aims to ease that aspect of the job.

The forum is a place to share your knowledge and insight about all things web writing and to ask others for theirs.

Members are encouraged to use their customizable personal pages to promote their writing. Included are a blog, the ability to add RSS feeds, and optional profile applications.

If you'd like to help spread the word of this community, you can design Web Writers badges to display on Facebook, MySpace, your own websites, or to include in forum signatures.

Every network should have outlets for off-topic conversation and distraction. There are some tangential and miscellaneous categories in the forum, and a chat function (located at the bottom right of your screen - just click where it says "Web Writers # Online"). These are included to foster interaction and the strange but salubrious things writers do for amusement, respite, and procrastination.

My hope is that this network simultaneously educates, encourages, opens up opportunities to web writers, functions as an effective promotional tool, and provides some entertainment. Too many online networks focus on only one or two of these aspects of web writing, but at their best they are all inextricably entwined.

Please feel free to send me a message with any feedback or suggestions about the site. Thanks for all your contributions.
